The Mycenaean Huggies are largely inspired by Cypriot gold jewelry from the Late Bronze Age. The pebbled texture was a popular motif among Cyprian jewelers, created by using gold granules to form designs and add texture to pieces. The Mycenaean Collection marks a new direction for Psyche, in which pieces are more directly representative of ancient designs.
These gold huggie earrings feature a soft pear shape that gently hugs the earlobe and closes with a post-and-friction back. Endlessly comfortable, they are solid without being cumbersome. The design allows for stacking, but designer Claire LaJeunesse usually wears them solo as the perfect everyday one-and-done understated earring.
