One of a kind—only one available
Do we choose our destinies, or are they chosen for us? In Greek mythology, the Fates, or Moirai, presided over our fates. The Moirai ensured every being, mortal and divine, lived out their destiny as it was assigned to them by the laws of the universe. The three sisters each held a vital piece of life in their hands. Clotho, the youngest of the sisters, presided over our births, Lachesis spun out the thread of all the events and actions of our life from her spindle, and Atropos, the eldest of the three, cut the thread of human life with a pair of scissors when it was our destined time to die. The Fates Pendant challenges you to recognize what is in your control versus what is inevitable. The three golden orbs represent not only the three sisters but also the past, present, and future. The portrait cut gemstone acts as both mirror and window to help you see yourself and remind you of your role in your destiny—nothing is set in stone. While the Greeks may have believed otherwise, your fate is your own.
This stunning Fates Pendant features a fully traceable, responsibly mined natural tourmaline. Psyche is proud to have worked with ANZA Gems to source this stone. ANZA supports artisans at every level, beginning with purchasing directly in-country in Tanzania and Kenya, then using US and Kenyan artisanal cutters–a number of them women–to facet the gems into one-of-a-kind creations. Rising lapidary precision cutter, Jenna Sloane, cut the tourmaline in Carlsbad, California.
