According to Greek mythology, three sisters, known as the Fates, presided over our destinies. They each held a vital piece of life in their hands. Clotho, the youngest of the sisters, presided over our births, Lachesis spun the thread of all events and actions of our life from her spindle, and Atropos, the eldest of the three, cut the thread of life with a pair of scissors when it was our destined time to die. The Threads of Fate ring is designed to remind you how fragile life is. Its delicate, slim profile is just a whisper on your finger - your daily reminder to cherish and live your days fully. We only live once; best make this life of ours worth it, lest Atropos cut our thread short.
As Lachesis hand-spins the threads of life, this delicate gold wire ring is made entirely by hand in our Chicago studio. While suitable for everyday wear, its slim profile means this ring is more delicate than others in the Psyche collection and can be misshapen without proper care.
